Thanks for checking out my blog. Anjo Kolk doesn't update his blog very often, but I like the articles.

And if anyone hasn't read his YAPP paper yet, go do it. (http://www.oraperf.com - look for whitepapers and download after your free registrations).

He also has a write-up of YAPP in the Oak Table book "Oracle Insights".

I just want to note that Anjo Kolko is going to publish an update of his YAPP paper, may be this year. It will be focused on the response time tuning. I am sure that it will become a "must to read" paper just like the previous one.

you must visit dizwell more often: Anjo's blog was mentioned there a while ago. Pity he doesn't update it as often as others. But it also takes a longer for common mortals to digest what he's saying, so I guess it balances out... ;)

Scripts

A word of hopefully commonsense warning. These scripts are provided as-is and without warranty. You are free to use them, and I do hope they prove useful, but I cannot accept liability if they don't do exactly what you thought. They are all unencrypted so you should be able to see what they do. That all said it makes sense to check them out on a test system first to work out what they do. Read the comments - they are an aide-memoire for me but they might help you get the idea. Don't just apply them without thinking to your production database.
